The history of Positronic

Positronic Industries is a family-owned company established in the United States over 50 years ago that designs and supplies high reliability electrical connectors to customers worldwide.

Positronic has a strong international identity thanks to its 3 locations in the world (United States, France, and Singapore) and employs nearly 800 people worldwide. In January 2021, POSITRONIC joined the Amphenol Group.

Positronic Industries Auch, located only one hour from Toulouse, develops, manufactures, assembles and distributes its value-added connectors to customers in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa), mainly in the aeronautics and aerospace sectors.

30 years since the American firm was established in Auch

In August 1992, the inhabitants of Auch saw Americans arrive. The reason for their arrival was more than positive. Jack Gentry, former fighter pilot and founder of Positronic, decided to make Auch the European site of the firm. It is in the Engachies area that he chose to install the factory which today employs more than 90 people. More than 1,000 product references are manufactured on this site, including connectors for the space, aeronautics, medical, agricultural and industrial sectors. Positronic Group produces 10,000 different connector models worldwide for an annual turnover of 80 million dollars. The Gers site alone has a turnover of €15 million. 

Positronic's objectives

This international company exports to Europe, Israel and Africa. The company is not content with the world, it is also aiming for space, and more specifically Mars. Indeed, some of the conductors were used in the manufacture of the robot sent to Mars and the international space station.
