The history of the company Les Canards d'Auzan

Created in 1992, Les Canards d'Auzan are specialists in duck fat and produce fresh products such as foie gras, duck breast, aiguillettes, duck legs...as well as elaborated products such as preserved and semi-preserved foie gras, confits, dried duck breast and other culinary specialities combining noble ingredients in the pure Gascon tradition.

A chain of excellence: Today, the Gers-based company calls on no less than 120 partners, breeders and feeders, all of whom are in the IGP chain and located in the South-West of France, to supply it with quality products. It has won numerous medals at the Concours Général Agricole as well as the IFS superior level (99.17%).

The live ducks are transported to the company. In order to ensure the cutting, they have trained their operators internally on two lines. In their various processing workshops, packaging, skinning, cooking... everything is done and prepared on site. To date, the Gers company supplies shops and supermarkets, as well as restaurants and butcher's shops, with foie gras and smoked duck breasts throughout France.

The Castelnau-d'Auzan-Labarrere site covers no less than 15,000m2 and currently has 235 employees.

On the production side, the annual production capacity is 15,000 tons in 1,700 tons of foie gras.
